“社会文化视野下的中国疾病医疗史研究” 国际研讨会

通告（第一号）

社会文化视野下中国疾病医疗史研究是目前国际史学界方兴未艾的前沿性研究，也是目前中国大陆正在兴起而尚为薄弱的研究领域，为推动这一研究深入开展，加强国际学术交流，探究本研究的发展方向，南开大学社会史研究中心拟于2006年8月9-12日主办“社会文化史视野下的中国疾病医疗史研究” 国际研讨会。届时将邀请历史学、医学、社会学和人类学等不同学科的研究者开展跨学科的对话。会议所用正式语言为汉语和英语。诚邀海内外耕耘于该领域的诸位专家学者莅临与会。

International Symposium on the Study of Chinese Disease and Medical Treatment History from the Perspective of Social Culture

Announcement No.1

The study of Chinese disease and medical treatment history from the perspective of social culture is a frontier study of the international historical circle and is in the ascendant now. In mainland China, this research field is also on the upgrade but is still weak as yet. In order to further the in-depth development of the studies in this field and enhance the international academic exchanges, also for the sake of exploring the orientation of this study’s development, the Center for Chinese Social History Studies of Nankai University is planning to host the International Symposium on the Study of Chinese Disease and Medical Treatment History from the Perspective of Social Culture in August 11-14, 2006. We will invite researchers of different subjects such as history, medicine, sociology, anthropology to the symposium and conduct interdisciplinary dialogues on the occasion. Hence experts and scholars engaged in researches of this field are cordially invited to be present at this conference. The working languages of the conference will be Chinese and English.

5. Expenses: No registration fee. Conference materials, board and lodging, the excursion organized by the conference will be all free for participants but will be charged for to participant's companions. Participants need to take care of their travelling expenses themselves.
