第一轮通知

第十一届中国科学技术史国际学术研讨会将于2007年8月20-24日在中国南宁举行。这将为研究与关注中国的自主创新、技术转移和科学发展观以及中国各民族科学技术与文明的学者们提供一次展示与交流的机会。主办和承办会议的有关单位通力合作，筹备工作正有序地进行。我们希望对大会主题感兴趣的海内外学者能够贡献论文，也欢迎你们将此通知传达给相关的单位和个人。在主题之外，大会也接受任何涉及中国与其他国家与地区科技文化交流以及相关问题的论文。

如果您愿意提交论文，请于2007年1月底前寄来400字以内的中英文论文摘要，打印在一页 A4 (21×29.7cm) 纸上。2007年2月，发出第二轮通知，征集论文。2007年5月发出正式会议邀请函。

First Circular and Call for Papers

Introduction

The 11^th International Conference on the History of Science and technology in China will be held in Nanning from August 20^th to 24^th ,2007. It will provide a unique opportunity to scholars working in the field of the history of science and technology, and civilization in China or its neighbours, not only for displaying their research fruits but also for exchanging ideas with their colleagues in the field. As you can expect, the preparation is now going smoothly and efficiently. The general theme of the conference is Science and Technology Innovation & Scientific View of Development; Science, Technology and Civilization of Chinese Enthnic Groups. Needless to say, any other topics concerning the history of science, technology and civilization are also acceptable. If you could circularize this information to other concerned organizations or individuals, the organizers would be very grateful. Please feel free to contact us if you have any problems or request.

If you would like to present a paper, please send us the abstract of the contributed paper ( in English and Chinese within 400 words) by the end of January, 2007. Your abstract should be typed in single space on an A4-sized (21cm×29.7cm) white paper. The second circular will be sent out to collect essays in February, 2007 and in May, 2007 a formal invitation letter will be sent out.
